If your refrigerator isn’t working properly, one of the first things you need to do is properly clean it out in order to avoid any spoiled food or mildew building up inside. Before you call up a service technician for a Frigidaire repair, you may want to follow a few of these useful tips.
Clean the Exterior: Remove the plug on your refrigerator and carefully tie it with a twist tie or Velcro. With a coil brush, carefully sweep underneath the refrigerator to remove any dust. Take a wet rag and wipe down the front, sides, and back of your refrigeration to remove any dirt as well.
Empty the Contents: Carefully check the dates and throw away any items that have already expired or will expire within the next couple days. If you have another refrigerator or a friend has one that you can use, carefully package up your perishable items and transport them to another cooler or refrigerator. This goes for all liquids, dairy products, fruits, vegetables, and meats as well.
Remove the Drawers and Douse the Interior: Remove all of the drawers from your refrigerator and scrub them with a sponge, liquid dish soap, and warm water. With the drawers removed, use a multi-surface spray to wipe down all of the walls and shelves.
Now that your refrigerator is completely cleaned out, just sit back and relax until you can use your newly repaired refrigerator like a brand new kitchen appliance!
