Owning major appliances requires a large amount of responsibility. You can’t expect to spend a few thousand dollars and then assume nothing will ever go wrong. Just like a car, there is a lot of work involved in keeping appliances running like new. Also don’t assume that spending more money on top quality brands and models means problems won’t arise either. A Lexus can brake down just as easily as a Kia after all. However, the frequency will most likely be less.

Lint traps need to be emptied, dust needs to be vacuumed from under the refrigerator, and ovens need to be cleaned. When you take care of your appliances properly, they will take care of you. To own these items is to show that you are an adult that can take care of one’s home. Living on your own means enormous responsibilities.
