Easy Troubleshooting Before Calling for Appliance Repair
No one enjoys scheduling Frigidaire repair only to find out the problem had a simple solution you could have taken care of yourself. Before you begin doing more complicated testing and troubleshooting, don’t forget to take care of the following steps first:
- It may sound silly, but ensure that the appliance is firmly plugged into the outlet. Also test that the outlet itself is working. Trying plugging in another item. If that doesn’t work, test the outlet with a voltage tester.
- Next, check to see if the fuses or circuit breakers are have not blown. Check both the main panel and if there is a separate panel used for larger appliances. Push the reset button which should restore power.
- If the appliance requires gas or water, see if it is receiving enough to run it.
- Lastly, check the owner’s manual for frequent problems. Lost the book? They are easy to find online. Often times the solution is a simple one and the troubleshooting scenarios are easy enough for anyone to do.
Depending on your skill level, figuring out what is wrong with your appliance can be a dangerous one. If you’re not comfortable taking apart appliances, call for Frigidaire repair right away.
